Viscom Project #1: Coloring Book Exercise

I went to images.google.com and looked up "Piglet coloring pages". I came across a picture of Piglet eating a watermelon. I opened Adobe Illustrator, created a new document, and dragged the picture onto the art board. I embedded the image and clicked "live trace" in order to vectorize the image and resize it without losing resolution. I then clicked object and then expand then holding the shift key, I resized the image to an appropriate size. I then selected the whole image using the selection tool and selected "live paint" on the toolbar, then clicked on make. Using the swatches and changing the tints and shades of pink, I colored the image shown above. I then clicked "file" and "save as" then saved the image as an illustrator file. Then, I clicked "file" and "export" and saved the file again as a jpeg file and posted it onto this blog.
